Biographical Sketch: D. S. S. Fraser was an RAF pilot who trained during World War 2 at the Army Air Forces Advanced Flying School at Napier Field, AL. He was a member of the class 42H. According to information from the donor, Fraser lived in England (probably Cornwall), was an amateur radio operator ("ham"), and died in the Spring of 2010.
Scope / Content: Contains certificates, photographs, and a souvenir booklet that document at least part of Fraser's training at Napier Field, AL, at the US Army Air Forces Advanced Flying School in 1942.
Organization Item level control.
Provenance Donor David Kemplen, a fellow amateur radio operator in the UK, rescued Fraser's items from the trash bin after Fraser's death. Somehow he found the The Wiregrass Archives and mailed the materials here in June 2010.
