Faculty Profiles

Dominique Angel

Dominique Angel

Dominique Angel, a lecturer of dance at TROY, began her ballet training with Ballet Russe premier danseur Oleg Tupine and his wife, Tania Rousseau. She continued her studies at the Joffrey Ballet School before joining the Joffrey II Dancers under the direction of Sally Brayley Bliss and later, the Joffrey Ballet under Robert Joffrey. Throughout her career, she has performed works by renowned choreographers, including Paul Taylor, Frederick Ashton and Mark Morris, among others.
James Boyd

James Boyd

James L. Boyd III, a lecturer of dance, is a dancer and choreographer with a BFA from SUNY Purchase College. He has performed worldwide in over 30 countries and 80 cities, sharing the stage with artists like Misty Copeland, Joseph Gatti and Rasta Thomas. His career includes performances with Elton John, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige and Bruce Springsteen, as well as appearances on So You Think You Can Dance and America's Got Talent.
Adrienne Hicks

Adrienne Hicks

Adrienne Hicks, a Troy University alumna and lecturer of dance, helped establish TROY's dance program before graduating summa cum laude in 2011. She has toured 15 countries across five continents, performing with iLuminate on America's Got Talent, dancing off-Broadway as dance captain in Artist of Light, and touring Europe with Bad Boys of Dance. Adrienne earned her MFA in Choreography in 2019 and is on faculty for Manhattan Dance Project, Beyond the Stars and Impact Dance Adjudicators.
Jerome L. Stigler

Jerome L. Stigler

Jerome L. Stigler, an assistant professor of dance, began his training at the Katherine Dunham Children's Workshop and the Center of Contemporary Arts. He holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and an MFA in Dance from the University of Iowa. Throughout his career, Mr. Stigler has performed with more than 20 dance companies, including 360° Full Circle Dance Company and The Von Howard Project.
