Biographical Sketch Herschel and Louise Roney are long time residents of Dothan, Alabama.
Historical Sketch The National Peanut Festival has been an annual event, with the exception of the years of World War 2, since 1939. It occurs in early November and features National Peanut Queen and other beauty pageants, parades, agricultural and community displays, and a carnival with musical entertainers.
