Leading by Example

Since 1950, Troy University has served and supported the United States Armed Forces and the men and women who serve or who have served in uniform, their spouses and their dependents. Scot Brumbeloe is a proud TROY alumnus and Navy veteran who continues to serve his alma mater and his country daily.

“TROY has long maintained a strong relationship with the military. I was able to experience this relationship firsthand as a Petty Officer in the Navy and as a work-study student at our campus Troy for Troops Center. Faculty and staff, many of them veterans themselves, assisted me in identifying and utilizing the benefits available for education and encouraged me to aim for even higher goals. Today, I'm proud to lead TROY's Office of Military and Veterans Affairs and continue our proud tradition of being Alabama's top Military Friendly university.”

Through the TROY Partnership Program, the University will offer a 10-percent tuition scholarship and an application fee waiver for all veterans and their families to include spouse and dependents in appreciation for their service to the country.
